                                        Triad of Health

The Triad of Health is Physical, Emotional, and Chemical.  All three need to be in balance to achieve a healthy body.  There are hundred of ways to achieve this balance.  Just go to the bookstore and look up self help books or alternative therapies and you will see.  So which ones do you do?  You should always try different things but the core things you should be doing are:

Cardiovascular exercise

You need to be doing some form of cardiovascular exercise were you are safely working within your target heart rate.  Biking, swimming, running, walking, aerobics, and etc. are forms of cardiovascular exercise.  Your target heart rate is figured out easily by using formulas and plugging in your age and intensity levels.  Forms available at our office.

Stretching

You need to be doing some form of stretching to keep your body’s joints  within their normal limits.  This is done by various techniques and easily tracked.  The AMA has come up with normal limits for every joint in your body so you are able to see if your joints are functioning properly.  Forms available at our office.

Adjustments

You need to get your spine checked for the vertebral subluxation complex.  VSC is segmental dysfunction of the joints, inflammation of the tissues, muscle spasms and fibrosis, irritation of the nervous system, and degenerative process.  If you are subluxated then you need a regiment of chiropractic adjustments to remove the effects of the subluxation complex.

Balance Your Chemistry

You need to balance your body’s acid/alkaline state.  This is done by checking the PH of your urine using PH strips bought from a health food store or off the Internet.  Then eat or supplement accordingly to balance your PH.  Food charts are available.  Check our website for a link to one.

We also have available at our office the Balance Body Chemistry Program.  It consists of a questionnaire of questions that ask classic symptoms of the six systems of your body.  Then the answers to the questionnaire are put into a computer program that scores them to see where you body is out of balance and suggest glandular supplements to take to balance your chemistry.  Available at our office.

Doing these four core activities works to balance the triad of health.  These four activities intermingle within the triad (physical, chemical and emotional) and help your body achieve a healthy state.

All four of these activities can be done within anyone’s schedule if they are willing to place their health a priority in their life.  Health doesn’t come from a pill but from Above, Down, Inside, Out
