How I became interested in Chiropractic
At the end of my freshmen year at
Hanover College my roommate and I decided to make
a road trip to Louisville to drop off a bike and stereo cabinet. We went in my
roommates car, an old convertible, that stalled on Eastern Parkway. I
decided to get on my bike and go to my home in the Highlands for help. I went up
Eastern Parkway and took a right turn on Baxter when I was hit by a TARC bus.
The bus scrapped against me and flipped me into the air. My feet were locked in
so it ripped everything from my knees to lower back.

I was taken to the hospital and later released with pain and anti-inflammatory medicine and told to rest. I then followed up with physical therapy and blood thinners. Still in large amounts of pain and barely able to move the doctors decided to try surgery. It was at that time my mother suggested I try my uncle, a chiropractor in Indiana. It was there that I got well, avoided surgery, and became interested in chiropractic. I liked the fact that his patients got well without taking any medications, he enjoyed his work, and his patients liked and respected him.
